OMG so I fly TOMORROW. To FLORIDA. For a YEAR.
I haven’t blogged properly in a while because to be honest I’ve been pretending it isn’t going to happen and avoiding the subject. I feel sick, I feel emotional, I feel excited, what I don’t feel is ready. I’m fairly sure I don’t have all the documents I need, I haven’t really checked whether I do or not and it’s all very REAL.
I really should go over it all again before bed but I just can’t be ARSED.

Geeking out right now watching the IAAF World Athletics Championships. The divine Usain Bolt getting disqualified from the 100m final, you couldn’t predict this stuff. Most exciting sport on the planet. If I can’t watch it when I’m in Florida then the deal’s off, I’m coming home! A-MAZ-ING!!!

Well 3 weeks today I’ll be moving into Disneyworld. WTF?! Not at all sure how this happened and how it got so close but there you go, it’s happening.
I now have my visa back fron the embassy, all ready to go. This would have made me very exciting if the picture on it wasn’t so horrendous - I would like to have been able to show people but that definitely isn’t happening! I really hope I don’t look like that in real life! Haha.
This weekend was amazing. All my closest, most important friendies (with a few absences :( ) came down for my leaving party weekend and it was so nice. Some peopke I really didn’t expect made it, my bestie Anna travelled 10 hours on a coach from Carlisle just to be there, and it was fab. Obviously a little tinged with sadness as I’m going to miss them all so so much vut knowing that they all made that effort to come down was amazing and shows what fantastic friends I have.
After spending yesterday recovering (entertaining is fun but exhausting!) today I have really tried to knuckle down and get sorted. Firstly I paid my program fee and got that sorted, $104 which with the exchange rate as it is at the mo wasn’t too bad at all really. I then called STA and went through the palaver of organising insurance. I’ve been putting this off as it confuses me so much and was going to try and not book through STA as it’s a little pricey but decided at least I’d know I have the right level of cover. Beware anyone looking to book, the budget cover STA offer does not meet US immigration requirements, you have to get the standard cover. Very annoying as it cost £149 rather than £104 but definitely glad I checked with the guy before buying!
So basically, I forked out over £200 today which was pretty painful but at least it’s sorted! Just got silly little bits to do now like buying flesh colour tights and bras to go with my costume and printing photos for my room. Lovely lovely :) x
